Gabriel J. Christian
Gabriel J. Christian is a Dominican-born attorney, historian, author, and community advocate dedicated to preserving Caribbean history and advancing the Dominican diaspora. A graduate of the University of the District of Columbia and Georgetown University Law Center, he founded Gabriel J. Christian & Associates, LLC in Maryland, where he practices multiple areas of law.
Beyond his legal career, Christian is the author of several books on Dominican history and co-founder of the Dominica Academy of Arts and Sciences (DAAS). Through his writing, public service, and advocacy, he continues to promote education, civic engagement, and the cultural heritage of Dominica at home and abroad.
Dr. Irving Andre
Dr. Irving W. André is a distinguished jurist, scholar, historian, and author of Dominican heritage. Born in Curaçao and raised in Dominica, he earned his BA from the University of the West Indies and later completed his LLB and PhD in Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada. Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice in 2002 and the Superior Court of Justice in 2012, Dr. André is also the author of several acclaimed books on Dominican history. His work continues to promote justice, preserve Caribbean heritage, and inspire the Dominican diaspora.
